Hey guys hopefully you can help me out here!

I have firmware 2.2.0 and wanted to just install cydia and installer. My phone was unlocked and activated previously and I forgot what method I used.. anyways. I used Quickpwn 2.2.5 for Windows and proceeded to add both cydia and installer through the instruction process. Quickpwn said jailbreak was successful, but my phone keeps rebooting and only shows the apple logo where instead it should show the prompt to enter my passcode. If I let it sit, then it reboots again and again and never shows the springboard, only the apple logo. I have run through quickpwn about 4 times successfully, but I can't get phone to the welcome screen where I can put my password. I don't want to restore using iTunes because I have sensitive info that I did not back up (don't mention it )
Any thoughts on how to fix this without a restore? I have no phone now! Any help will be appreciated.

P.S: I downloaded Quickpwn for mac and it wont even recognize the iphone. Itunes will tell me that I need to know the pass code to sync.. Windows XP will pop up the "open files" folder and I can see my pics in the iphone, so everything is still there, just can't get passed the apple logo. I have hope though!!!!!!

C'mon guys! Anyone? It shows 33 people have read this thread and no one has even a remote idea of how I can fix this issue caused by QUickpwn without restoring and losing my data?
I really need your help.. even if you think your idea is not great, It may work and I appreciate your input. Please post, I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.. I NEED TO RETRIEVE IMPORTANT CONTACTS and my phone is just an apple logo..

Thanks to very cool people on IRC I was able to get my contacts back on a quickpwnd phone. I had to restore and then use quickpwn, then Funbox to copy the contacts back to the jailbreaked phone and voila!!

Now Itunes says it cannot read the contents of the iphone and that I need to restore to factory settings. I tried on PC and MAC same thing.. bump! My iPhone is now on 2.2.1, unlocked and jailbreaked with cydia and installer. I wonder what is the issue with iTunes.

Hey dTube!! Yes I did. What happens is that when I uploaded my contacts back to the iphone using iFunbox, then Itunes can't read the phone. I had to delete a folder in the iphone via funbox in order for itunes to read the phone again and now I am all good!!! I can't thank you enough!! As you can see, if I didn't go to IRC.. I would have been talking to myself here for months LOL...

I hope the transition to 3.0 won't be too much drama!!

Sorry I missed this -was it a 3G? If so just disabling the timer would have enabled your phone to boot.
