New 3g will not go into DFU
To start, I have jailbroken 2 first gen iphones, and 3 different 3g iphones so I do know how to do it.
Long story short, I had to spend $213.00 to get a new 3g r/t my old 3g being submerged..... Brought the new 3g home and it will not go into dfu when trying to quick pwn following the directions to the T. 2.2.1 and 02.30.03 Windows Vista I am about to have a seizure! Thanks for any help.

I would normally suggest the DFU procedure wasn't being done correctly but if you have 2 first gen iphones, and 3 different 3g's thats not the issue, and if all the other phones go into DFU on the PC its sounds like one of them WTF moments
 .If possible try a different PC & also you could try using an older version on itunes (7.5 maybe) because I've seen some old DFU related threads here in the past saying that kind of thing has worked.

I work nights so have not had a chance to work on it.... Im home now so I:
Tried with no luck changed usb location with no luck restarted computer with no luck It makes the chimes like it's connected, then not, then at 20 seconds of holding home button when it would typically go into dl quick pwn, it makes the connected sound but nothing happens. hold home until the big grand FAIL message. my screen is blank (black), if I try to quickpwn again it says I have to hold home and power for 15 seconds to try again, If I hook up to iTunes it says phone is in recovery mode and will need to be restored.... So maybe Im in dfu but for some reason the quickpwn isn't doing it's thing? Ill try a few more things then run off to slumber land and pick up where I left off. Any more input would be great.
