I've upgraded to the 2.2.1 (5h11) version of the 2g iphone, and used quickpwn to unlock, jailbreak and install cydia on it.
The only mark I haven't checked is custom logos. My 4th and 5th serial #'s are 14 which means I'm @ 3.9 bootloader (in case that was a question). Upon pwning it flashed and restarted my phone. Everything works flawlessly for the mere exception of my service with T-Mobile. There is none. I've tried resetting the data, and this is probably my 5th time restoring and quickpwning, and still no luck. What could be the problem? And an additional question: does your IMEI change when you mess with the baseband, because the back of my phone does not match with the info in the phone, but I can guarantee this phone was received legitimately, and the previous owner bought it from the AT&T store. Please help me, I've been trying to get this to work for a very long time, but it seems I'm going to be stuck with an iTouch for now. |

I have the exact same problem. Used Quickpwn 2.2.5 and I don't see a button to "activate". Everything seems to work great, but no t-mobile service. My "network" settings are blank.

I too am having the exact same problem. I have upgraded and unlocked flawlessly from 1.1.4 all the way up to 2.2.
Since updating to 2.2.1 everything works, bluetooth, WiFi etc. but no service. I have tried O2, Vadafone and Orange nothing works. I have unlocked over 30 iphone to date but this one has got me stumped. The phone has never been opened, dropped and has worked perfectly until 2.2.1 Any ideas please? |

Hallelujah! RESOLVED!
Thanks to good advice from these fine forums, here's what I did: This was originally posted by volkspost in this thread: http://www.hackint0sh.org/forum/f167/53033-2.htm 1. First goto Settings->General and set Auto-Lock to never --- REALLY important 2. Then make sure your iPhone is connected to power (ac) 3. Start Cydia on the iPhone, if it needs to update stuff, do it. Install Bootneuter then via Cydia. 4. Start Bootneuter 5. Leave setting for Bootloader as it is, set Neuter=ON, Fakeblank=OFF and Unlock=ON 6. Hit "Flash" in Bootneuter. [Added Info]Bootneuter will make you reboot the iPhone to unload CommCenter, just do it. After reboot, start Bootneuter again, select the setting mentioned in step 5 and hit flash [/End added Info] 7. Bootneuter will do its job. DO NEVER interrupt the process, wait until it is finished. 8. When done reboot, the iPhone is unlocked now. 9. To delete Bootneuter now, start Cydia again, goto "Manage->Packages", select Bootneuter, hit "Modify", hit "Remove". This will remove Bootneuter. This is just a safety-thing. If someone starts Bootneuter on your iPhone, hits flash and interrupts the process you may end with a brick. Worked for me. So happy to see my T-mobile logo again! Good luck. |

does anyone else's phone freeze after bootneuter loads everything? After it does, it freezes and I cant push any buttons. I haven't even pushed flash yet.

This occurs once in a while. Dev Team will fix this when they get to it.
If you did not hit flash, you can restart the phone. After phone is done booting up, set airplane mode = on and run bootneuter again. Hopefully, this time it will finish the initial check and let you proceed to next step

Was your IMEI corrupted while No Service? Do you did this from a MAC or a PC? |

I've been having the same problem, too. I did the steps to flash it with bootneuter. Is it better to flash it with version 3.9 or 4.6? When I did it to 4.6 and it flashed successfully, I still had no service. PLS HELP!!!
