I have an iphone 2g and have jailbroken it before with quickpwn, however i installed the newest version 2.2.1 and thought i could jailbreak it again with Quickpwn

The problem is my power button doesnt work at all so i cant follow the directions when it asks me to hold down the home and power button together for like 20 seconds, the button is dead no matter how hard i press it, it just doesnt work it clicks fine and isnt stuck though. So of course i get an error that reads:

Your device has connected in the wrong mode. This can be caused by incorrect following of the instructions or a faulty USB connection.

Is there another way? i dont know of any other unlock methods for my version and i thought about downgrading to 1.1.4 and using ziphone but how would i downgrade it from 2.2.1?

Any help would be highly appreciated, i also opened up the iphone to clean up the area around the power button but it didnt change anything
