I'm on this 2G 8gb iPhone I upgraded to 2.2.1. I'm having a weird wi-fi issue where the signal just fades in the middle of any download and the phone disconnects from the wifi network. Yesterday when the phone was upgraded first, I tried to download several packages via Cydia with no problem whatsoever, and no disconnections from the wifi network at all.

I've tried restoring it to the same firmware and quickpwning it three times to no avail. I've also checked out different wifi problem threads via google and in hackint0sh, and they all point to the router having a WEP key, but mine is WPA2.

Could I downgrade the firmware from 2.2.1 and try? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

EDIT: Tried downgrading to 2.2. Downgrade/jailbreak via QuickPwn were successful. Wifi still doesn't work. Taking the phone out to try other wifi spots.

Same here, wifi does not work. Only Edge symbol showing. In the wifi settings it says i am connected, but no ip or anything.
Anyone?
