Well ... Dev Team released QuickPwn for Windows.

So far what i have read is QuicPwn only jailbreak 2G/3G/Itouch and put Cydia on the device. QuickPwn runs in a command prompt windows, and requires you to put the device in DFU mode for the restore.

After the announcement of the tool. Zibri made this announcement:
He is probably recruiting his fan base to create a GUI interface for QuickPwn. Not sure if he can apt-get the booneuter in an attempt to turn his tool to unlock as well. Not sure if he will even attempt to try to automate the DFU process. What ever it is ... watch out and stay away from ziphone

The one thing I'll say about QuickPwn is that it can work where iTunes fails. I kept getting a myriad of iTunes recovery errors (1604), (20), (4) and couldn't make any progress. However quickpwn was able to do the whole operation and at least get me back to basics again so I could get out of recovery and DFU modes. Granted my problem is bigger than simply jailbreaking a 2.0.1 firmware, but force feeding the jailbreak and installing Cydia is quite powerful.

Only 1 part of quickpwn is feedback free is where it says "please wait while your phone is jailbreaked"... the batch and exe finish and you let the iPhone work on it's own without much status.

Hopefully the iPhone team decides to open it up to prior firmware versions as well.

Things seems to be getting a little more intresting now. Wonder what exploits this runs on, what it will do to 3g iphones, how many phones its been tested on and if it is truly a work of his own. I will have to keep a eye on this.....Very intresting indeed.............

Off the scene till i get a new lcd or a new iphone

hey i have a question about quickpwn, i dont get anywhere at all, after i click on the ipod touch application in the folder command prompt comes up, it will say a few things then it will say that it has a problem and needs to shut down, whatshould i do

Hey Ringo. Go to a command prompt without double clicking the batch file directly from explorer (Run: cmd, or type cmd in the serach field in the start menu), navigate to the directory where QuickPwn is and then type in the batch file name to run it (without the .bat).

Then copy the error message on another forum on this site.
