OK, looks like regular people are not aware of Dev-Team blog . I understand users are trying to be kind enough to let all iPhone users have their freedom of choice.

However, it has became boring to death to look our boards with a dozen of plain copy-and-paste threads right after any update Dev-Team does on their blog.

What's the point of having a blog, then, if things are posted here and there?

This is some sort of rant, not to mods nor to dev-team, but to community itself. If Dev-Team wanted to discuss about their tools here on Hackint0sh, they would not set a "personal" blog which by the way do allows user comments.

I see your point. Cut & paste from the blog to here is redundant, I agree. But a lot of newcomers are not aware of the dev Team's blog so that helps raise awareness. Cut & paste from the blog (any blogs) should always have a link back to the source IMHO.

Hackint0sh is the "official forum" to discuss software releases from Dev Team. In fact, members for Dev Team from time to time visit this forum to answer questions.

The Dev Team blog allows people to leave comment but it is not really a community support vehicle. This forum is the community support, sharing knowledge and etc ... It's done purely on a voluntary basis by all members.

I could understand posting the the news maybe once - but in all sections is just dumb!
Some users still seem not to know the possibility of "The Search Button" or RSS. Hillbillies
Yesterday the same news about the possible pwnage 2.0.2 release has been postetd here - let me guess - about 4-5 times.. some even with false information (alleged unlock of firmware 2.01.) It's just ridiculous..

Which news was crossposted? Most of the time, people copy paste the news and post it here, usale. We ar already trying to merge them together or close duble posts

i don't think dev team have time to watch over the forum and at the same time developing new "things" for the whole community (remember they do have day times job). So, please give them a break. They not god man! .
BTW: I really like to discuss in this forum rather than in dev team's blog. People are cussing in the blog instead of discussing )

agree with poster directly above.. much better to discuss on forum. first reason is the blog has like crap loads of comments per post which is hard to go through to read and annoying and also full of crap from people dissin eachother cryin about things and asking ridiculous questions. real pain in the arse reading comments on the blog.
