I got a iPhone 3G from friend in the States, and before I got the phone, it was unlocked already, and ready to be used in Canada.
Last week, I accidentally ungraded from 2.2 to 2.2.1, and I cannot even activate the iPhone. From what I understood, 2.2.1 cannot be unlocked for the time being. And I do also have an option to "flush" the iPhone and restore to 2.2. However, I do need the stuff that I saved in my iPhone, and I'm just wondering whether by jailbreak the iPhone I can activate the iPhone and have access to the stuff in it except making phone calls.

I upgraded my iPhone few days ago and I CANNOT ACTIVATE IT.

I tried to use the QuickPwn to jailbreak it, but the problem is that before I could actually run Pwnage, the iTune won't even allow me to choose "restore", and under the "equipment" of the lefehand side of iTune, there's only one item which is "Adminstrator's iPhone", it says the SIM card doesn't support. Please help THANKS!!!!!
