heres what happens when i try to jailbreak my 8gb 3g using winpwn 2.5;

custom/expert on
1)iphone 3g
2)2.0.2
3)activate 3g "NO"
4)activate youtube "NO"
5)install cydia "YES"
6)installer "YES"
7)resize root partition "NO"
8)wipe the data "NO"
9)custom boot loader "NO"
10)searching custom ipsw
11)building custom ipsw saved desktop
12)iphone off and connected to USb "YES"
13)congrats you have entered successfully into DFU
14)i get a white screen and then winpwn2.5 crashes "winpwn 2.5 beta has encountered a problem blah blah blah"

can someone help me on this please! THANKS!

saw this post last night but my case is different from his. i can go back to springboard after the whitescreen i just cant get through the last part of winpwn 2.5 process. i tiried quickpwn tho and it worked and it has cydia installed i only wish that installer was included during the quickpwnage. is there a work around for this?

Installer and/or Cydia are usually added if you check both in Quickpwn.
Hmm, maybe you just DFU restore to Apple fw 2.0.2 again and use Quickpwn then. You have tried both Winpwn and Quickpwn on your 3G iPhone, maybe that caused the behavior.

I encountered exactly the same phenomenom.

WinPWN 2.5beta4 crashes after starting the "hacking" process (afte i put the iPhone into DFU-Mode).

I used the QuickPWN-Option of WinPWN to finally jailbreak and activate the it.

Minor correction ...

WinPwn 2.5 BETA 2 (not Beta 4) is the current one.
