So I jailbreaked several iPhone 3Gs with winpwn and all of them did not accept an Official AT&T sim?? (it just shows no signal). What am I doing wrong?

I thought after the jailbreak it will accept any AT&T sim or Cingular sim or am I misunderstanding?

Also I think I checked the "activate" option could that be the problem? All I basically need is for the iPhone 3Gs to be able to work with "any" AT&T sim card even the ones that are not on a iPhone plan. Some input would be greatly appreciated.

Dont select the Activate option.

Use the noob mode, and itll ask you whether you have an official carrier, say yes to that.

For some reason, in expert mode, even if you select "Dont Activate", you get the no signal problem.

I dont see an option to change it from noob to expert or vise versa I am using winpwn 2.0.0.4 do you guys think quickpwn would be a better solution?

Use WinPwn 2.5, get the latest. I think Beta 2 is out.

In the noob mode, it asks you if your using an Official Carrier. Select Yes.

QuickPwn would just jailbreak the phone.
If your looking to only jailbreak without restoring, its a better option.

Hey Ad1tya, i have a question, i have a iphone 3g on movistar (Ecuador) if i want to jailbreak (i mean for use cydia and installer) which one is the better option? quickpwn or winpwn? yea and i want to update the latest firmware (2.1).

i have the same exact question. i need to know because i wanna use it just with wifi and activate it but need to know if ill still be able to use the at&t sim if i click the option that activates it. thanks! =)
