As many of you may already know that Apple is going to come out with v2.1 for the iPhone 3G very soon. This update will most likely fix OS bugs. It will also update the GPS with turn by turn functionality.

Why pwn now when you know you will want this update, especially that it will allow for turn by turn and who knows what else...

You are simply going to increase you risk of running into problems when you have to restore and re-pawn..

My thoughts and if am wrong then take it easy.

why pwn now anyway? none of them properly pwn. Wait and be patient is my feeling.

I'm VERY new to all of this, so this brings up a couple questions for me...

1. If you successfully use winpwn 2.0.3 to pwn your iphone with 2.0 FW, can you update the phone using iTunes when 2.1 FW is released by Apple? Or will iTunes try to activate the phone again?

2. If iTunes updates won't work, then can't you just use winpwn again once the new FW is released? I understand the more you do it, the greater the chances of problems, but I just want to confirm that you can use winpwn on a phone that you've already pwned.

I think so far 1.1.4 is the most stable firmware. 2.0 is nice but I'll wait for Apple to iron out all the issues first.

yeah you right!!! i hope the newest filmware will fix the errors when sync with itunes and hopefully it will fix all the crashing while using appz . Can anyone tell me if the 2.1 will include voice turn by turn????

Why pwn now? My feeling is, why not?
So the update will most likely break it, so what? you either wait for the next hack or just update regardless. Why would this affecting pwning your phone now...?

I'm going to try to pwn mine when I get it in a few days just because I love having customized things. And I'm sure we'll be able to update when the 2.1 comes out.
