I have a jailbroken 2.2v iPhone with some apps. I wanted to update to 2.2.1 but don't want to go through the hassle of updating, reinstalling jailbroken firmware, and reinstalling my games.

Any way to update in a simpler manner?

even with an update the jailbreak and the apps installed with installer/cydia will be gone.

Well, that wouldn't be as bad...but is there at least a simpler way? I don't mind reinstalling apps but jailbreaking is a real nuisance.

yea just restore using a custom IPSW made from pwnagetool, only problem with that is you need a mac

also make sure u restore and not upgrade cuz you will notice 500MB of unusable space

I only have a PC...I guess I'll just wait until I really need to update like when v3.0 comes out or something.

well you can search for and already made CFW on the net you can use, bare in mind that there is some risk to this

To be honest I don't think 2.2.1 improves a lot on 2.2. That's why I never updated and am happy with 2.2.
