Default The iphone could not be restored An unknown error occured Error 6

I've had a headache with this iphone, it just keeps doing it each time I try to restore it (in or out of DFU) it will go right up to verifying iphone software then just stops and goes back to recovery mode.

Any ideas?

Sorry, you're right!

I've tried using itunes 7.0.5.20 upwards and versions 1.1.4 upwards

I'm using winpwn 2.1, but I didnt think that could be sorted!

Yeah, versions can be a pain in the ass. Especially in Windoze.

Anyway, my advice to you is:

1) Uninstall iTunes
2) Uninstall Apple Mobile Device Support
3) Rename your iTunes Library folder (possibly "My Music\iTunes) to any other name.
4) Restart
5) Get iTunes 8.0.2, Install it.
6) Put the iPhone in DFU Mode and try to restore it with 2.2 FW

After that, quickpwn it!
