greyed wifi, low battery, permamently edge...again
hi all,
i now this thread isnt new...but its special. sorry for that!
i bought a iPhone in the UK. it came with firmware 1.1.4. i had to unlock it, to use it. i used winpwn 2.5 with firmware 2.0.2 and it worked fine...but the wifi was greyed out...Edge is permanently on...and the battery drains really fast (6-10 hours). (i dont know what the former owner did to it or if it broke with my winpwn action???)
So...I know this issue has been discussed a lot and i browsed the whole forum and internet for a week, did everything the instructions said, really did...no use.
wifi is greyed, bluetooth is working, i can send and receive calls, in settings it says Wifi: N/A, but there is a MAC adress (ibooter), changing didnt help, downgrading to 1.1.4, BL 3.9 and devteam´s swifi didnt work either...i always get "Nothing to fix". checking nvram, iLiberty+, ZiPhone 3.0, Quickpwn, Pwnagetool, Bootneuter, Fakeblanking, Payloads...all tried and these described solutions do not work, i even tried it several times. Many people suspect a hardware problem...i tend to say the same...and get desperate...could it be that the software somehow messed up with the wifi calibration?
is there a solution for that issue yet?
is it a hardware problem as the dev team suspects? if yes, will a battery or commboard exchange help? (is that possible?)
i´ll try to switch edge off and check the battery...i dont know what to do anymore...please help, thx
