Can someone please provide me with the link to update to 2.1 from 2.0. I have a 2g iPhone running on T-mobile and it was unlocked and jailbroken with ZiPhone. I am a newb so I'd like step by step instructions, thanks!!!

are you sure? because ziphone does not unlock or jailbreak 2.XX firmware so how did you upgrade to 2.0 with ziphone?....


its easy to upgrade just donwload 2.1 firmware from itunes and wait for a new winpwn that supports 2.1 also you will need the two .bin files which you can obtain from www.iclarified tutorials when i was new to winpwn and needed help i found that page to be the best...

Download the 2.1 firmware from iTunes.
Download quickpwn for firmware 2.1 from the Dev team's blog. They have both versions.

PS: You can find both these downloads in the correct sections in this forum.

Go to iTunes, and update your iPhone to 2.1.
You can also restore.
Once done, you will have an unactivated phone.
Now using the new version of quickpwn, just follow instructions and you'll have it jailbroken and activated.

What I suggest you do, however, is install a P2P software or a BitTorrent client. And use it to download this torrent:

(Just go to thepiratebay.org and search for clean Pwnage 2.1)

Once finished, just connect ur iPhone, shift+restore and choose the ipsw file. Without DFU or anything... it will restore your iPhone to jailbroken 2.1 with Cydia and installer.
And that's pretty much it.
