Default [Ring/Silent switch] broken

The ring/silent switch of my iPhone is broken
Anyone knows any alternative to put the iPhone in silent/ring mode?

try looking under settings/sound menu and adjust stuff there

I was thinking more of a program that could be installed with a one touch enabling or disabling the ring.

i dont think there is one for 2.x.x
there is one available for 1.x.x but not been ported yet

my iphone (2.0.1) did the same thing yesterday...
switch to silent but still playing ringtones...

I tought it was broken...

Restart...worked fine for me!

I've got the same problem but after a total reset - General - Reset -Reset All Settings then it's back to normal. Do remember to Sync your phone before doing it!

I am having intermittent silent switch problems after using WinPWN on firmware 2.0.1. I'm not sure if it has to do with that or Cydia or Winterboard, but one of those must be the culprit.

It's not all the time and it's usually fixed with a hard reboot, but it's annoying. The phone will flash the bell overlay randomly, and sometimes flipping the switch from ringer to silent will change the bell picture, but there's no vibration confirmation, and the phone is not actually on silent.
