2.1 is awesome, very fast interface and everything works...
I'm on Windows upgraded yesterday using guides found online. If you dont care for jailbreaking then just update as normal, no change on the 2.1 baseband so phone will remain unlocked If you want to jailbreak, google the guides... Its easy really! 2.1 is the single best update yet - why wait!

 LOL well worth the wait though i imagine a week or so... i really wish i hada mac atm ;p who wants to let me pwn my iphone with their mac?

I used an Custom IPSW i found somewhere on the internet (don't remember where, maybe on ...bay).
Tried to update via itunes. Getting error 3 or something. So i tried to restore using itunes. It worked perfectly for me. Afterwards restored with a backup made before the upgrade an there you are. Sure, all my Cydia/Installer apps were gone, but I had them reinstalled in 10 mins. My iPhone was on 2.0.2 using Winpwn before the upgrade. Voice_88

I'll definitely be using this after QuickPwn through WinPwn works for 2.1! I am still on the edge of installing 2.1, as I've heard great things.
