Hi guys so I had loads of trouble using the winPwn even though I used a very good manual... my problem was when I tagged cydia and youtubefix it kept failing to create the custom firmware file I needed to pwn Itunes... I have know made it work but without tagging cydia, so now I need a way to get cydia or installer 4.0 if that is possible on my iphone version 1.1.4 upgradet to a 2.0 now.
hope there is someone who can help, thx ![]() /Philipsen |

Sure from your computer (PC)! You must uninstall the old winpwn and then old iTunes , restart the PC and then install the iTunes 7.7 + winpwn.

This thread subject looks like what I'm looking for: I used winpwn successfully on my phone, but I did not click to install cydia.
I'd like to install it now. I'd like to generate a new ROM and use winpwn to generate the IPSW and update the iphone again via itunes. My question is about re-jailbreaking the phone: I don't want to mess with the bootloader / low level firmware again, which is actually what jailbreaking does, right? I just want to generate a ROM and restore the iphone with it so i have Cydia. I am looking at winpwn and I want to uncheck some of the Advanced tab options so it doesn't mess with the low level firmware bootloader stuff again. I feel that since it worked once I don't want to push my luck re-jailbreaking it. Is this the best way to install Cydia? |
