i heard about the app store apps being hacked yesterday and that made me instantly wanna unlock my iPhone, so i downloaded all the gear and went ahead doing it.

First point to note, i couldn't restore to 2.0 because i wasnt putting the phone into DFU! - my advice to anyone who is getting errors...make sure it's in DFU! theres so many youtube vids etc to help you.

So after a successful pwn my phone booted up BootNeuter....auto detected my stuff..patched my bootloader to 3.9, then failed to flash my Baseband. (any ideas on this?)

The phone still worked though?

So i restored my backup...and the mail app didnt work..now i read that you should set up the mail app first..then restore a backup, so ill do that when i get back from work..

Secondly, i cannot ssh onto the iPhone, its almost as though theres no ssh client on the phone, does WinPwning your phone install openssh?

and at a second glance my wi-fi appears not be be working, i can connect to a router...but nothing loads up...(any ideas?)

so i uninstalled itunes 7.7 and reinstalled itunes 7.5, then did a DFU restore to 1.1.4. unlocked using iLiberty+

everything looks as though its back to normal except i cant ssh onto the phone, this might be a problem with my pcs wireless card or my router?

I havent tried going onto the net yet (my router at home is not connected to the net, i need to find a "hot spot")

if i can connect to my router..then goto 192.168.1.1 and it shows my router menu..then my wifi isnt broken is it?


My Baseband is 04.04.05_G - Do i need to downgrade it using KiPhone before pwning with 2.0?

My Baseband is 04.04.05_G will i need to downgrade it or will it be downgraded/flashed using boot neuter?

04.04.05_G is the baseband for the 1.1.4 fw

So you shouldn't need to downgrade anything

Its really hard to say I would suggest you start over and try again.

Maybe try refreshing the 1.1.4 - 04.04 BB with iLiberty+ etc before you upgrade again.

yeah, i restored back to 1.1.4 and used iLiberty to unlock etc

ill give 2.0 another go tonight, just for shits and giggles.

I should have really had some error codes. that may of been helpful

Hopefully, it will work tonight, i reckon ill be able to do it first time, just tricky getting it into DFU...one you've done that.
