Dear hackint0sh members,

there seems to be so much info on the 3.0 firmware I can't clearly see what is the best method. I used to search for people who like to comment on this, and googled ALOT.

I just can't see which one is the best answer to this question.

In short. I have an 3g 2.2 unlocked iphone, 02.28.00 firmware.

I wish to upgrade to 3.0 (the latest version, as there seem to be different ipsw) the latest firmware, and to have it unlocked...

Which route should I follow... ??? Please help... mention the tools and if possible the location of the files needed.

I think I'm suppose to download PWGNTOOL 3.0 (already downloaded) then customize an IPSW (don't know where to get the latest 3.0 IPSW) then restore / upgrade towards the custom 3.0 IPSW...

Again I'm not sure... plz help...meeeee

Did you have your problem fixed. Were you able to upgrade your UNLOCKED IPHONE 3G (2.2 firmware) to the 3.0 Firmware?
