First of all just to let you know i have jailbroken my iPhone 3G FW 2.2.1 (5H11), BB = 02.28.00... and i have yellowsn0w installed perfectly on that.. and iv patched it with that MobileInstallation file via Fugu (mac)... so i can now download any app (ipa file) and place it in iTunes and sync to my iPhone

NOW...

Is it possible to create a custom ipsw FW for the latest beta 3 FW?? OR ANY beta 3 version?? aka jailbreak it?

And also is it possible to get yellowsn0w working on that? or keep my baseband how it is or something?

And is there a newer patch file for that MobileInstallation file? or can i use the same 1 im using to get the apps for free?

Im considering to upgrade it but im worried il loose the luxury of having yellowsn0w / jailbroken apps / and the free apps i can get...

Please let me know if theres a chance of upgrading to any Beta 3 successfully with the jailbreak and/or yellowsn0w etc...

One thing I can say is MobileInstallation patching only works up to 2.2.1 firmware

And there is no pwnagetool version for neutering 3.0 beta baseband updates.

ok.. so i take it majority people are in near enough same situation as me then? i.e. no 1 has upgraded cos you cant downgrade again back to 2.2.1 with 02.28.00 baseband .. or is there a way?? lol

guess il have to wait untill whenever the official release for 3.0 is and a solution to jailbreak etc.. hmmm... although i am a legit o2 contract customer for this.. lol id rather enjoy the full benefits like i am now with all the apps i can get without spending a penny lol

People like you should upgrade to 3.0 ASAP.
I don't get why someone would pirate apps that cost like $1 or 0,79€ or maybe twice of that or whatever how much in GBP. I just don't get it please explain why the heck you can afford an iPhone on a legit carrier plan but won't support these Devs on the AppStore. I guess you don't even care who brings you all this app-goodness to your Apple Device.
