pwned my 3g with 2.2.1 firmware with 01.45.00 baseband and used yellowsn0w but can't unlock? Should it be on baseband 02.28.00? If so how can I just upgrade the baseband? Can I just create a new custom firmware using 2.2 and restore or will that completely fubar my iphone? Any help would be appreaciated.

If you want the 02.28 BB so you can unlock with Yellowsn0w then first restore with a stock 2.2 firmware (NOT 2.2.1)

Then use Quickpwn to Activate/Jailbreak

Use Cydia to apply Yellowsn0w.

I guess when you say stock it means original firmware not custom 2.2 firmware using pwnage tool. Will it screw up my phone when i choose restore with stock firmware and the phone is already pwned?

No if you restore with a std/stock 2.2 firmware it will just wipe your current jailbreak out & update the BB to 02.28, in turn leaving u at the activation screen but thats normal.

All you do from the Activation Screen is run the Quickpwn GUI to A.J (Activate/jailbreak) again, then install yellowsn0w from Cydia.

Thanks n350z . I restored to stock 2.2 firmware. Created a custom 2.2 firmware using pwnage 2.2.5 jailbreaked/activated. Downloaded yellowsn0w from Cydia and it unlocked perfect .
