What are all you folks doing with the unlocking of the 3G by the dev team? Are you just canceling your AT&T contracts after getting the phone etc? How the heck is this cost effective?

It sure is not cost effective, at least not in my case. I got mine with a Tmo subscription and still use the Tmo sim.
I would unlock because I want to be able to use another TelCo sim here or abroad. Does it need to be 'cost effective'? Or do we just want to unlock, because we like the idea to have a hacked iphone ?
