They said it is seeded broadly any time soon. A copy with the new cocoa finder is already in hands of selected devs. So there is hope customer will ever get something worth the $$ or not for his fail paid membership from apple.

Yea... I am not going to be holding my breath about a seed in the next few days.
Think about it this way; every single piece of information that was published by AppleInsider has either been posted previously on Apple's own website or is common sense stuff. For example, In Snow Leopard will be a 64-bit OS. Apple has announced that they will not have 64-bit Carbon support in Snow Leopard. So, it stands to reason that before release, Finder will be re-written from Carbon to Cocoa. We already know that Exchange support is being added to Snow Leopard. ImageBoot is the only truly "new" thing that has not previously been discussed, however it really doesn't go that far into details. Even then, this information doesn't seem all that reputable given the fact that it is supposedly based off of Netboot; a TFTP and a DHCP server to direct users to create and copy a ramdisk down and to mount a remote file system. While the end result would be very similar (booting from a disk image instead of a physical partition), the implementation would need to be *WILDLY* different. While this is something that definitely *could* be implemented, it would seem much more likely that Apple would instead base "ImageBoot" around the default ZFS versioned blocklevel system to allow for upgrades of live files while running which are then replaced with the new versions upon rebooting as is done currently in OpenSolaris. Apple has stated publicly that ZFS will be coming to Snow Leopard, so it doesn't seem that unreasonable that they would elect to implement this type of functionality into their OS. Also, everyone knows that eventually Apple will need to release an updated Snow Leopard build because there will *need* to be compatibility testing prior to release. It just seems like AppleInsider is playing a safe bet and giving no real new information all so that they can claim to be the first to suggest that Apple is interested in releasing their new OS. ~Adrian |

Well ok, I am with you on that but how they can estamiate a so short time frame? To tell people seep is to be expected now as in "thsi weekend" is really dfinate. What if they think compatibility testing will be ok next year still? I will jsut hope that something appears, anyhow I still think ADC is pure rip off compared to the use someone has from paying apple 500$ for some crappy update prerelease worth nothing to development immo.
I read it on macrumors first btw.

Uhm, f41qu3, that news we know
Discussion is about if SnowLeopard will be seeded to regular subscribers of ADC any time soon s it was claimed in various places, which threw up the question on the creditbility of appleinsider.
