Default VNC Lite - can't get it to work on 3g/edge

Hi-

I've tried for long now, to get the Mocha VNC Lite to work for my Iphone 3GS. When I first tried it over my local wifi network, it worked perfectly - however, as many others, I am experiencing problems over 3G / Edge. I know, that some posts already have been made to cover this topic, but I'm making this anyway, since this case is a bit different, according to myself at least.

I got a non-wireless router. In one of the ports i have connected a wireless-device (dno what this is called) to make my internet wireless

I have tried to forward port 5900, but it still doesn't seem to work...
If someone have some suggestions of how to solve my problem, share them please

And last of all - I am thinking that the setup with a wireless device inserted in the non-wireless router might be the problem... anyone who can confirm this?

Thanks in advance

Johan

I do have this quite same setup and have no issues. My modem is a non wireless, but behind it I have a Wireless router. I configured this wireless router as a bridge device and left all DHCP and routing stuff to the modem. Then on the modem I set a port forwarding -- TCP 5900 -- to my machine. Zero issues so far.

Check if your newly added wireless router isn't doing NAT. If so, then you should either put it on bridge mode or to create same port forwarding rules on it. I suggest you do do the first, to make things simpler.
