I'm on 3.0, unlocked jailbroken, etc.

Now, I can see the appstore and browse it, but 1) does appstore even work on a non ATT network when you actually try to download and 2)is there any danger in entering CC info etc when you're also not an ATT customer, i.e. does this in any way allow them to shut the phone down?

I'm not sure I'm clear but something makes me hesitant to create a store account and put my info in when I know I'm not using ATT.

I'd like to get some of the free apps, namely skype etc
