I couldn't stop but laughing..he's a lot of spare time on his hand...that's all I can say..
anyway, on the main post, try restarting your iPhone and see if that clears up the cache..also, check to see if your iTunes password is correct.. |

Yeah - I was just kidding about the guy who posted the useless comment. I was just excited because I saw a response and then was disappointed to see that dumb comment!
![]() I tried to restart the phone and the username and password are correct. I haven't used any other usernames on this phone, so there shouldn't be a conflict in terms of rights to a certain app. I do not have any hacked apps; but the phone is jailbroken. I deleted some apps, but that didn't resolve the problem. I also went into iTunes and synced between iTunes and the phone. I deleted some files in iTunes as well. I guess that I'll have to go to iTunes and uncheck all of the apps that I installed on the phone, perform a sync, recheck those apps again, and sync again. Hopefully that will work. It's too bad that iTunes won't save an AppList like a PlayList so that we can sync a list of apps for different occasions. We could have a list of games or a list of business apps. That would be cool, and we wouldn't have to remember the apps that we had chosen. Maybe I'll send that as a comment to Apple! Thanks for your input!

I found a link with what seems to be a solution! I was waiting for firmware 2.2 to fix the problem, but I thought that I would post this in case others are having this issue. I know of a few people who have this issue as well. The link to the possible solution is here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread....81249 . The possible solution is toward the bottom of this long thread, so if you want to go right to it, do a search for "cautiously optimistic". Let us know if it works for you!!
This is the solution that the individual (ickyptang) proposes (please note that I haven't tested it myself): Since every single update I did on any app would give me an error before I "fixed" the phone, I am fairly well convinced that the problem is gone. At the very least, I am "cautiously optimistic" So, in short, the solution that worked to me was to do the following: 1. Update the phone to 2.1 firmware if you have not already (the problem will still be there after this) 2. Back up your phone via iTunes (again, if you have not already done so) 3. Restore the phone via iTunes 4. Restore data from the back-up, rather than setting it up as a new phone For me, this fixed the problem and still kept all the data I had from the back-up (including contacts, calendars, notes, text messages, usage data, app data, etc.). Again, I have not tried this myself. It should not harm the phone in any manner. The worst that can happen is that you will lose the high scores, etc. But those of you who have jailbroken phones can either use one of the backup apps in Cydia to back up the info or SSH into the phone and use WinSCP or any other app that permits you to access the phone and copy the files within the "Documents" subdirectory of each app. Let us know if this works!
