The black plastic back panel/cover has cracked
on my iPhone 8GB, I bought this phone in the UK as a "pay as u go"...
And I'm not in the UK anymore. How can I get a new back panel... ???

try on ebay...the issue is to assemble it! It's not easy...at least for 3G. See some tutorials!

Can't I just give it to apple, will they not replace it...
I am no looking for a warranty cover ... I am willing to pay
for a new back cover...

Well I am not in the UK anymore, so shipping and logistics will be a huge problem, so returning to my primary question

will apple replace it ?

Maybe, there have been some reports of Apple denying service on iPhone sbought in the US but never activated with AT&T. Maybe Apple won't be so difficult in the UK due to the impending opening up of the UK iPhone market to more than one carrier selling the iPhone.
