iPhone 3g Australia unlocked
I just purchased a iPhone 3G from Australia unlocked by carrier. I have read numerous reports.That it will stay locked when you update it. But I have also read that if you update it via iTunes in another country it will lock again.
Can anyone confirm or deny this? Thanks

|
if factory unlocked then the phone is forever unlocked regardless of baseband version. When you connect iphone + itunes, it will check with apple server to activate the phone and unlock in one shot after a fw upgrade.
