I recently purchased an iphone 3G 8gb (new) which was already jailbroken / unlocked here in my country, Pakistan. How do I know if it already came installed with the 3.0 firmware and maybe it was only unlocked using ultrasnow?

When I open Cydia I can see the ultrasnow application.

Is there any way I can tell?

if that was already officially JB in your country, I'd not believe it has done with ultrasnow.

Not officially as the iphone has not come to our country. I can see ultrasnOw and Cydia on my phone.
