[3G] OS 3.1.2 (BB 04.26.08) to 3.0 possible?

I am having famous no GPS issue (Apple - Support - Discussions - 3.1.2...Still no GPS bug fix? ...) since I upgraded to 3.1 months ago. I upgraded to 3.1.2 few days ago hoping to fix this issue but no success. My GPS was working fine on 3.0 but not after that.

Can I downgrade my 3G with 3.1.2 on BB 04.26.08 to OS 3.0 by simply restoring through iTunes 9.0.1? I will use by custom3.0 ipsw for this purpose.

Kindly let me know if this is possible. Thanks!

sorry you won't be able to unless you have your 3.0 ecid on cydia server

That is incorrect.

This is a 3G phone, so yes you can downgrade without a problem. There are plenty of 3.1 to 3.0 downgrade guides out there, google for one. You may get some errors at the end of the restore or you might be stuck in recovery mode. Neither of these are a huge problem and the guides should explain how to use irecovery to get out of recovery mode.

Only 3GS phones and 3rd gen iPod touches require the ECID SHSH during restore.
