HELP! I have a jailbroken/unlocked iPhone 3G, and I have a serious problem. I downloaded the NES app from Cydia yesterday. The app wasn't working, so I went into Cydia to remove the app, and now ALL of my original iPhone "apps" are gone - Phone, Calendar, Safari, Settings, iPod, App Store, Contacts, Weather, Camera, You Tube, Photos...EVERYTHING! I tried syncing the phone again, hoping this would work, but the original features did not come back. When you call my phone it still rings, and when you perform searches in Spotlight, all the emails, address contacts still come up. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?? I'm panicking over here.

Install SBSettings and use the hide/unhide settings option built into this to restore your icons.

where can i find SBSettings? is there a certain version i should install? and do i do this through iTunes? someone else installed cydia and icy on my phone, so i'm not too familiar with how this works.

When you use spotlight, can you find and run the missing app icons?

Install SBSettings via Cydia. SBSettings is activated by wiping across the statusbar section in any app. Then click more and select hide icons to control which icons are hidden or shown.

none of the original icons come up when i perform a search in spotlight. what's strange though is that all the content in my calendar, address book, emails, etc are still searchable in spotlight.

to give you an example, i just typed in the name of someone in my address book. when i try to select them however, i get the following message:

"Unsupported URL - this URL wasn't loaded: search://com.apple.mobileaddressbook/1/3325

another issue is that the cydia and icy apps no longer show up. i know they are working in the background b/c i can still get phone calls. i have a US iphone with a dutch SIM card.

i just tried swipping the status bar (at the top of the screen) but nothing is happening...

Olethros, are you online at the moment? Did you happen to read my reply? I have not been successful in fixing this yet, and I'm wondering if you can still help.

Over the course of the last 24 hours, the phone has continued to function as normal (calls and texts come in, my daily alarm still rings, calendar reminders come thru), but no icons. I am convinced that they are just hidden, but since Settings and Cydia are hidden too, I don't know what to do...

Can you run Cydia from spotlight like he said? If you can then you can search for and install SBSettings in Cydia which can fix your problem......

Have you done the steps Olethros said? If so your problem might have been solved. You have to nstall SBSettings in Cydia. That is the only way to fix your problem I think.
