Hi, I was hoping that someone could help me. I have the iphone 3G that has previously been jail broken but not unlocked. Its current firmware is 04.26.08 but I have lost all of my old itunes which has been modified and backed up.

I do not want to lose this jailbreak by downloading the latest itunes. Does anyone know if downloading the latest itunes and syncing my phone will lose the jailbreak? If so, how do I reset an updated itunes?

It is safe to update to iTunes 9 as it does not affect the jailbreak in any way, this has been confirmed by a Dev Team member (Musclenerd's Twitter).

However, be careful when syncing with iTunes that you do NOT update to the official 3.1 firmware (which will update your baseband from 04.26.08 to 05.11 if you do) because if you do, there it is a big possibility that it cannot be unlocked by Ultrasn0w (as it stands right now).
