Default SMS Deleted - How to Recover

Ok so my iPhone was running on about 8mb tonight while I was in the SMS app (just apples default one) and looking up a message. So I held in the buttons to reboot the phone. It turned off and rebooted fine. When it started back up I had a message I recieved. I went into SMS.app and it crashed. So I opened it up again and BAM there are no messsages there the whole thing is blank.

Im like fuck, because those messages go back about 6 months and some are important info and shit. So I go in and rip sms.db from var/mobile/Library/SMS to my pc, and view it. But its fucking empty.

I dont have a backed up version on my pc because i reformatted about 3 days ago and havent reloaded itunes yet.

What I am wondering is, how the fuck do I get all those messages back!? I cant afford to lose some of the info and shit that is stored in there, but it seems my iphone has got low on memory and wiped them all by itself, and then wiped sms.db also!? WTF!?

Unfortunately, if you don't have a backup, then there is nothing you can do.

SMS vulnerability could, indeed, allow an attacker to run software code on the phone that was sent by SMS over a mobile operator's network, even though the service allowed for a maximum of 140 bytes per message to be sent. As users should know, longer sequences can be sent to the phone as multiple messages that combine into one, when received.

“The malicious code could include commands to monitor the location of the phone using GPS, turn on the phone's microphone to eavesdrop on conversations, or make the phone join a distributed denial of service attack or a botnet,” Miller is cited as saying. “SMS is a great vector to attack the iPhone,” he added. Admittedly, “The iPhone is more secure than OS X,” Miller pinpointed, “but SMS could be a critical vulnerability.”
