I have a iPhone 3g which is still under warranty till aug of this year. I am a T mobile user and not at&t user. Now few days ago the speaker stopped working on the iphone. When i took the phone to apple store they told me i can't get the phone replaced because i don't have at&t account, in order for me to get a replacement phone they will need to activate it at the store and the only way they can do it is by having at&t account.
How do i get this taken care of I mean do i find someone with at&t sim card to help me out or do i need someone that has an iphone and use there sim? I am sure i m not the first one to have this any help |

Yes get someone with a iPhone on the account, and then restore to a stock firmware, and then let him take it to the store, make sure you also have the receipt of the phone, or if you dont, still give it a try, they might ask you to buy expired warranty in order to get it repaired under warranty.
