Default iPhone 3G and Cincinnati Bell

Hello all...

I've been using a 2G iPhone on Cincinnati Bell for almost a year and a half with no difficulty. With the announcement of the iPhone 3GS however, the prices on iPhone 3Gs are dropping and I'm considering picking one up to replace my aging 2G.

I'm wondering if anyone on here has had any experience with iPhone 3Gs on the CinBell network or roaming. I understand that CinBell's 3G set up is on bands that aren't totally compatible with the iPhone 3G radio, but if anyone has figured out a workaround, including, but not limited to, forcing the phone to connect to non-CinBell towers, that information would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for the information and guidance.

Why? If you use someone else's towers won't you get charged roaming rates?
