Hi guys, I've got an iphone 3G 2.2.1 with this problem. Texts received from 0123456789 and +x123456789 (where x is the country code) are listed separately and not from the same contact.
I tried the 2.2 CallerID and Format fixes by ispazio but they didn't work. There used to be appSupport fixes for this when i had the 2G. Any ideas how to fix this on the 3G?!? Thx in advance Last edited by zeeshansohail; 06-02-2009 at 12:52 AM. |

if you are from pakistan which I am guessing from your name that your are, then you can use this file just replace the file at this location.
copy the default.phoneformat file to /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppSupport.framework File: hxxp://r a p i d s h a r e.com/files/239849110/Default.phoneformat removes spaces from the links and replace xx by tt Have Fun

Yeap, Pakistan it is.
Used iPhoneBrowser to replace the file in the location you mentioned and then restarted the phone...didn't work. What am i doing wrong? I read somewhere that i need to change the /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/PhoneFormats/UIMobileCountryCodes.plist file if i'm using a turbosim. What's the deal with that? Thx. Ok, I've this figured out.
1) Replace /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/AppSupport.framework/Default.phoneformat with the file you linked to 2) Edit the /System/Library/Frameworks/UIKit.framework/PhoneFormats/UIMobileCountryCodes.plist to include <key>001</key>string>pk</string> if you're using turbosim in Pakistan [Install the CallerID and Format Fixes for 2.2 in Cydia->Localization (Repository: iSpazio) if the above 2 steps don't work] Reboot and you're done!! edit: btw, check out iPhoneBrowser, it accesses your iPhone over USB and doesn't need your PC to be connected to the same wireless connection.
