Hello guys, I got my hands on a 3G IPhone.
Bought October 2008(don't know if it was bought off ebay or from an apple store)
I've jailbreaked it using quickpwn.
It was already updated to the latest firmware, so I want to check what the bootloader version is.
The downside is I'm having trouble connecting it to a wi-fi network. I've tried different wireless routers & access points with or without security.
I was only able to create an adhoc connection to my laptops wi-fi.
The iphone can see the network, I can click to connect and I get unable to connect to xxxx network.
I tried restore and jailbreak again. I've tried resetting the network settings. Some people suggested the "Ask to join network" on-off.

Anyway I'm really puzzled why the wi-fi is not connecting. Any idea why it's behaving like this or if there is a solution?

try resetting the network settings going to settings general and reset (at the very bottom of the screen)and then hit reset network settings, and see how it goes afterwards.

I mentioned that I already did that!

sorry, it was late here when I read the post, so I overlooked that. unfortunately it sounds like you may have a nvram problem that only swifi could fix. but unfortunately the swifi project was abandoned long ago and never got updated to the 2.0 versions of the iphone firmware...........
bottom line is, you're kinda stuck with buying a new comm board off ebay.........

Hello ppl i am small technique for apple in me country,and this problem repair if you havent apple damaged just upgr SW in death mode i make this every time and working but if apple jump on signal part you havent chance repair this problem i have score 50/50 but working Shrek
