I am karan from india

i just got iphone 3g in india. These are locked to vodafone but u dont have to activate them. Just pop any vodafone sim card.

So , ideally i dont need to unlock it. So according to iClarified
i unlocked i restore iphone from 2.2.1 ipsw on iClarified site. And jailbreak it.

But my baseband is now 02.30.03.And it doesent exept vodafone simcard

Now i cant unlock it. So what should i do. How do i restore it to original state. DFU method, 15 second quickpwn methods for downgrading or official restore from itunes

P.S. to dev team

are u considering an unlock for new base band,i think it is same for 3.0. i heard it is hard and risky for average joe.

We all stupid 2.2.1 ungraders need that ray of hope

Firstly, what does it say when you put your vodafone sim card into the iphone? Have you ever used this sim card with your phone as iPhones require a 3G card and may not work with some older versions. Also you will need to disable pin in your sim card if it requires one when you switch on the phone. If you have checked all these then follow to the Second step below.

Secondly, put your iphone in dfu mode and do a full restore of 2.2.1. You can find the details on here or on iclarified. Once you have done that, as you are already on vodafone, i would recommend you to go through iTunes to let it activate your phone. After this, you might want to check that the phone is working fine. If it is, then open quickpwn and do the jailbreak. Once you have done that your iphone should be jailbroken and free for you to use on your vodafone sim.

2 it doesent have activation

there is no 3g in india

that was my friends iphone
it is now ok he says but i am not sure how
he done job from local shop

is there any review or database site for all jailbroken apps and themes

some times i see some app and cant find it

is there any app which show things on lock screen and on other app i see in untethered ipod touch 2g jailbreak with swipe down a menu comes can u tell me the name of that app

that is problem, that there is no organization like app store and it is the key to success to app store and jailbroken app should follow it

is there any software by which i can control iphone trhough pc with mouse and keyboard
