Make sure you disable Push Data Fetch option. Then it will last a full day... (but not much longer LOL)

I dont seem to have any problems with my battery and my battery usually lasts me a few days.

Then again, Ive had my iPhone for a long time and the novelty has worn off and barely using it unless im using the phone, lol.

Make sure u have ur auto lock on so your screen switches off. Also disable Push as mentioned above. There are also other little tricks like disabling 3g and reducing the brightness of your screen to conserve for a more efficient battery life.

I hope that helps
Kev

I'm having the same problem. I took it back to the Apple store and they gave me a new one, and the same thing happens.

I have turned all the features off, and dont use the toys on it. So basically a 2G phone for calling and texting only. I get 3.5 hours talk time, thats it.

It's an absolute joke. It certainly doesn't perform any where near Apples claimed figures.

I've rang trading standards to get some advice on what I can do, because it doesn't do what it says on the tin.

I was better off with my N81 8GB.

Hey folks,

same story on another firmware release... my hope was 2.1 increases the battery life but..well 2.1 changed nothing regarding battery life

While push feature is on, my iphone have exactly the same battery life as with 2.0.2, its around (max.) 2 days with 1-2 calls per day. This really sucks, no i don't need the "push" feature at all but for users who need that feature its a big joke with 2.1. In my opinion with that battery life the iPhone never can get into large companys as a blackberry replacement... sadly.

Here was my last post with 2.0.2 and 2.0.1 firmware: http://hackint0sh.org/forum/showthread.php?t=50685

Default Pwned

My iphone is pwned does this affect battery life? My battery life usually lasts less than a day which is dissappointing. I tend to turn off wireless, 3g and bluetooth when im not using it but this is kind of a pain.

I use to turn off 3G whenever I wasn't browsing the net to save on battery. It use to be that I wouldn't quite make it through the day if I used it fairly regularly as a PDA.

Since I updated to 2.1 (pwned) I've found about 20% more battery at the end of my day....which now makes it to the end of the day for me. Not perfect, but I've stopped worrying about carrying around a charge cable just incase my phone freaken died.

i haven't noticed any increase in battery life after 2.1.

2.0.2 was a great update for me, before 2.0.2 I got no 3G service at my house at all. After 2.1 I still get 3G service here, but close surrounding areas revert back to Edge. I hate that its so flakey!

Weird because since ive upgraded to 2.1, my Battery lasts a day and a half, when earlier it used to last only a day. (2.0/2.0.1/2.0.2)

Same amount of usage, etc.

But I have still bought a More-Thing Emergency Battery Pack which works great!. It manages to charge my iPhone 3G from 20% to 100% on one of its charge. I carry it around when I go to work, since im really lazy to bend down and plug the Apple cable into my workstation .

Other than that, Signal strength is better. Not a lot, but I rarely loose signal, even while traveling in the train here. Usually id loose it about 10-12 times in 1 trip, but now I barely loose it 3-4 times.
