here's my opinion why there aren't too many new features added...
first of all i think that the 3G part is mainly for european users. i live in austria...every provider here has hsdpa EVERYWHERE..and i hear alot of ppl who see my iphone say...yea it's cool but it doesnt even have umts or whatever...i dont care because i dont have any mobile internet in my contract so i couldnt even get into edge if i wanted too...i would have to change my contract that's why i got the iphone and didnt care about that "negative" aspect. and my previous phones also only had 2MP cams so i didnt care about that that much... so 3G to get some good sale numbers in europe... and then...i mean im not sure how it works in the states....but most people who are with at&t are contracted for 2 years with their iphone contract....dont they have to wait another year until they can get a new phone? for a reasonable price i mean.. over here...when my contract runs out i can, renew my contract and i get a new phone much cheaper...and if i want to switch phones...during my contract its really expensive... so im guessing that there will be a new iphone next year that will have many new features... and if they would have changed alot of features in the 3G phone...it would be quite a hassle to keep the same firmwares for both phones.....since they want to keep them the same..which i think is kinda good because most people cant complain that apple is forcing them to get the new phone by not bringing new firmware updates and bla bla...sorta like sony is tillmaking ps2 games even tho the ps3 is already out there ![]() i think its not a bad move what they are doing... i bet alot more people will buy the new phone here in europe.. if they cant lead with computers...they wanna be number 1 with phones
