Default leopard still shipping?!

I just bought a Mac Mini today at the Apple store hear in my hometown at the mall. Been doing a lot of research on new setups for running snow leopard---including hackintoshes...and I settled on this 2.0 Ghz mini which I am going to upgrade. Anyway, it has leopard on it 10.5.6, and I don't understand why. Every new computer on the apple website ships with 10.6, and it came out a few weeks ago now. Plus, I even asked the Apple guy who sold me the machine if it came with snow leopard on it and he said yes!

Why does this new machine only have leopard on it? Should I go back to the store and ask for a 10.6 cd? Buy one?!

I would take the machine back and demand snow leopard (in the nicest possible way of course), if the sales guy told you that it had snow leopard then thats what it should have, stand your ground and I'm fairly certain that they will be very apologetic and hook you up with what you were told you were paying for.

But arent they suppose to ship with 10.6 anyway? I dont understand why they would even be selling 10.5 based machines here in late September.
