Default SATA II (3.0 Gb/s)

I was wondering if any of the new Macs were able to make use of a SATA II harddrive other than the Mac Pros. When I look through the available upgrade options on the site (as of Sept. 16, 2009), the Macbook, Macbook Pro, Macbook Air, Macmini, and iMac all seem to only have SATA I (1.5 Gb/s) harddrive options. But I am not sure whether the motherboards on any of these devices would be able to fully utilize the speed of a SATA II drive that someone might buy and install after they buy a computer from Apple.

So basically, if I go on newegg or amazon and buy a SATA II harddrive and pop it into any one of their laptops or iMacs, will it be able to get the full 3.0 Gb/s speed, or will it just crank it down to 1.5 Gb/s speeds?

Default

As of the march 2009 event, all of them now use SATA II. The mac mini motherboard got an upgrade to SATA II; all previous versions of the mac mini used SATA I, so there is no benefit in upgrading the drives on them with performance drives like mid/high-end SSDs.

Answered my own question. Sick.
