Default Increasing VRAM

Hi,

Firstly I would like to introduce myself and say hi as this is my first post!! I have followed this forum for a while now and I have to say the general feel of the members is great! People always offering to help others.

I am a Mac Nooob I am afraid, it is only recently that I have had to use one at work. We have a Macbook 1.83 Core 2 Duo with 2gb Ram and an Intel GMA 950 (ouch...) running OSX 10.5.8

I am trying to install a genuine version of the new Final Cut Studio but I keep getting the error that the VRAM is only 64MB and needs to be 128MB...

I have read that if you run windows then this can be increased to 256MB, however this does not help me as I need to increase it in OSX....

Is there any 'hacks' in order to increase the VRAM?

Thanks,

Goldb3rg

you can edit your VRAM however, if you make a mistake you can really muck up your machine. If you look up via google edit VRAM there are ways to edit it.

I have done this on a G4 with a really bad outcome - i ruined it
