Default moving Itunes library to another computer

I have 2 computers one has become my primary itunes I would like to replace the library which has become messedup on the other one with the prime library both are on external hard drives I don't think it's as easy as renaming the target and cloning the prime hard drive

you should just copy iTunes folder from ~/Music from one machine to another.

just a question was it the xml database file that got corrupted? were you using itunes 8?
