i was watching a dvd on the mac and when i ejected it, it just made the usual noise it makes before ejecting but doesnt come out. It seems that it is stuck or something is preventing it from coming out. I tried restarting the my macbook pro, and pressing the track button on the mouse but the same thing happens, ive tried tilting it 45 degrees but it wont come out, i cant even see the disk in order to pull it out. Is there a way to force it out? i was thinking opening up my macbook? need help, thanks

power down.

power up while pressing the eject button(sounds obvious)
or power up while holding down the buttons on a usb, external mouse button.

try those before opening up the machine

First, don't rush, DO NOT open it.

Try pushing the disk with another one.

Are your still covered by the warranty?

according to apple support,
on some macs with the slot loader you can insert the end of a paper clip into a tiny hole at one end of the slot, also if you bend a paperclip in half to make it L shaped but not unravlled you can insert aboput 4 incehs down from the top and slide up fast to hit the release spring.

none of this worked for me on an iMac but holding down the top right hand keyboard key through a reboot till login screen got the disk out with the big white eject sign @ the login screen.
