Default No service ..

Ok here is the deal .. I have an iPhone 2G .. I unlocked it using Pwnage, and went to 3.0 succesfully .. Everything was working fine while I was in Greece .. But I moved over to Cyprus, and none of the Sim cards I use ( 3 different ones ) seem to work with my phone .. I get "no service" every time with every card .. I tried choosing my carrier manually and I get the message "cellular network is restricted" ..

When I put the Greek simcard in though, I get full signal every time .. Any ideas ?? I tried restoring, restarting, resetting my network carriers but nothing works .. ANY HELP would be appreciated ..

do you use an authorized carrier for your iphone (meaning no need for unlock)?. Meaning you activate your phone via itunes.

The only thing I can think of is when you use pwnagetool 3.0 to create your custom firmware, you did not check the activation. Eventhough the baseband is unlocked, the activation file is still the original one.
When you check the activation in pwnagetool, it will create a hacktivation lockdownd file.

Nop ... I do not use an authorized carrier for my iPhone, and I'm pretty sure that the unlocking method was correct ..

The reason for that is that I went out and bought a "pay as you go" type of card from a different carrier ... I placed the card into my iPhone and I got a signal instantly ...

I find this very weird, because in my case, the unlock seems to be working perfectly except from one carrier ( the one that I have those 3 different cards that I mentioned in my 1st post ) ... Again, ANY IDEAS or suggestions would be very welcome ..
