Default Stuck trying to reload SpringBoard

The jailbreak was successful, but whenever I install anything from Cydia that requires reloading the SpringBoard (Tricker 3G, SBSettings), I'm left on the install log page with an endless spinner. All buttons are unresponsive. Home+Power do nothing. The only way I've been able to getting a working phone again is restore from iTunes.

i had the same once in a while after upgrading to 3.0. i solved it by holding down both power and home button until screen goes black and immediately releasing both. than simply power on again and everything works.

hope this helps

Hi All,

today I updated sbsettings (or something with sbs at the beginning) to 3.0 (1st gen phone, Firmware 2.2) and I got this screen (the install log page with an endless spinner), I rebooted iphone (hold down power and home button) and now i'm in a boot loop (it shows the apple boot screen for a couple of minutes then goes black and starts again). could somebody drop a line?.
Am I screwed??, because I cannot SSH, phone doesn't boot.

Thanks to all

I'm having the same problem. Did a Cydia install. Now the phone won't boot.

Just in case, the issue that i'm experiencing is not related to firmware 3.0. it is related to sbssettings update 3.0 in SBSettings 3.0-1 Repack | iPhone News, Help and Guides it says that the code was not signed and therefore it crashes the phone and it reboots every 10 mins. I'll try BigBoss' solution and get back with comments.

I was just able to fix my issue by following the steps on SBSettings 3.0-1 Repack | iPhone News, Help and Guides
