Hi,
Am on 2G, previously in 2.2.1 (Pwn), now always stuck in apple boot logo after a successful restore of the custom firmware 3.0 (regardless DFU mode or Restore mode). No spinning wheel or anything, only logo. But the itunes seems to recognized it and shows "setup new phone" dialog and I can sync etc. Also tried with unpwn'd firmware 3.0, works fine, can get to emergency call screen, carrier detected (still unlocked) but not activated. Have tried again couple of restore of pwn'd version of 3.0 using DFU and Restore mode but no luck. Maybe something wrong with my build of custom f/w 3.0? anyone here got similar experience? Put your phone in restore mode.
Restore with apple 3.0 firmware (not custom firmware). You should not have any problem restoring using the virgin apple firmware. When done, follow the tutorial on iclarified. Just do exactly as it shows you. I will work.

Just did what u suggested...4 times, 2 in the currect macbook, the other two in iMac...following iClarified's steps, even rebuilding the custom f/w twice...still same result. Its just sittin' there with apple logo, the bootneuter doesn't even kicked in at all.
And you right, no problem at all to always return back to the untouched apple 3.0 f/w, unlocked still there, but not activated. i wonder why...maybe being in 10.5.7 got something to do with it? EDIT: Finally! its working good! What i did is: i build another custom firmware with following: - no baseband update - take off all neuter option because all i need is the jailbreak, based on the previous experience, i know the baseband still unlocked so better not touch it. now running in 3.0 ![]() thanks dtube for the suggestions and helps. cheers, asae Last edited by asae; 06-20-2009 at 10:45 AM. |
