Default Problem. unable to get past the recovery screen

OSX 10.5.7
iTunes 8.1.1
2G iPhone (Rev 1)
Pwnage Tool 2.2.5
Quickpwn 2.2.5

First Error:
- Downloaded - iPhone1,1_2.2.1_5H11_Restore.ipsw
- Downloaded - bl46.bin
- Created - iPhone1,1_2.2.1_5H11_Custom_Restore.ipsw with Pwnage Tool 2.2.5
Entered DFU mode. Option Clicked Restore in iTunes, selected iPhone1,1_2.2.1_5H11_Custom_Restore.ipsw

Second Error:
With failed Pwnage Tool attempt - restored/updated via iTunes
Option Clicked Restore - selected - iPhone1,1_2.2.1_5H11_Restore.ipsw

Third Error:
Restored and Updated via iTunes
Open Quickpwn
"Please connect your device, we'll automatically test it and then we'll move to the next step"
Click OK
- NOTHING appears to be happening

I've spent hours trying to figure this out with no luck at all.
Hoping to sell this 2G iPhone ASAP

What should I check or try next?

Thanks in advance.

I could also note that with my Rogers SIM card installed I can make and receive calls but am unable to get past the recovery screen.

You probably installed 3.0 beta. If you didnt and its under warranty get it replaced.

No warrenty.

I don't think doing a Restore and Update from iTunes would install a 3.0 beta

I've now also tried this on a Windows XP PC that had never before had iTunes or any pWn software installed.

QuickPwn did not see the iPhone when plugged in.

WinPwn 2.0 ran it's course with creating a custom firmware but once it went to apply the custom firmware the WinPwn program FAILED and left the iPhone with a White Screen.

Once unplugged and restarted - the iPhone is stuck back at the recovery screen and still able to make and receive calls on Rogers Wireless

Anyone have a idea what I should try next?

This reset, restore and update from iTunes has me stuck at the recovery screen pretty bad.

EDIT - Sorry for the large image, no editing software for cropping was installed on this PC

Now also restored and updated the iPhone on the Windows Machine -states the update applied is 2.2.1

Still stuck at recovery screen.

Downloaded Quickpwn 2.2.5 for Windows - still doesn't see the iPhone when it's on and plugged in.
